Introduction
Government of West Bengal formed primarily with the objective of accelerating the development of Infrastructure. Initially ICICI Bank Group held 76% of the Company's equity while West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) had the balance 24% on behalf of the state government. The Company was incorporated in January 1995, and started significant operations from August 1997.
Since then, I-WIN operates on a pan India basis. Over time, I-WIN has become the only nodal agency for infrastructure development in the Indian States outside the Government. I-WIN ensures timely completion of projects within a pre-approved cost estimate.
- I-WIN has worked with various ministries of Government of India and PSUs like Coal India, BCCL, NTPC, Tea Board, Spices Board, National Fish Development Board, Central Warehousing Corporation, Andrew & Yule, GRSE, etc.
- Advised Government of India & State governments in policy matters on infrastructure and agro-processing sectors including implementation of various projects
- Worked with West Bengal State Rural Road Development Authority and other various agencies on road projects
- Has access to enormous amount of specific industry understanding
